Quotaly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and associated services (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Business Profile: Company name, logo, phone number, email, and Tax ID/TRN that you enter to personalise your documents.
• Document Data: Client names, contact information, service items, pricing, and any notes or terms you add to quotes and invoices.
• Item Catalog: Service names, descriptions, units, and prices you save to your catalog.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app (features used, actions taken, session duration).
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
• Crash Reports: Diagnostic data sent when the app experiences an error, to help us improve stability.

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Generate and store your quotes, invoices, and PDF documents.
• Sync your data across your devices via our cloud backend.
• Send transactional notifications (e.g., account verification emails).
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your client data or document content for advertising purposes.

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), which employs industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Your documents are also cached locally on your device using encrypted local storage, enabling offline access. This local data remains on your device and is not shared unless you explicitly choose to share a document.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your account data and documents for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and documents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Anonymised and aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: Trusted third-party providers that assist us in operating the Service (e.g., Firebase for cloud storage, analytics providers). These parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
• With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Delete your account and associated data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

The app may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., when using the share sheet to open WhatsApp or an email client). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
